I was raised on your typical lacto-vegetarian Indian diet. For a period of time I supplemented as a kid but didn't supplement at all as a teenager. The result of the diet was that I often felt weak, tired, cranky and stressed. I was probably mildly malnourished in most vitamins, minerals and protein. My diet did provide sufficient calories and carbs. I strongly believe that I would have been 2-3 inches taller without it, had a bigger frame and even more forward growth on my face with it. When I look at the difference between how Indians who eat meat and don't eat meat look, it seems that those who consume meat generally have better height, and facial structure than those who don't. Also, might have gained 10 IQ points.
