myth isn’t the correct word to describe it because myth connotes something that holds value historically
projection is the more accurate term because it refers to an anticipation of the future rather than a recollection of the past, a sort of doing away in favor of a novel precedent
I used the word myth here to show the lack of its objective reality, however when a projection is communicated it may as well be objectively real
Even in its falsity its truth supersedes that which preceded it
The past of course continues to influence this projection of the future, hence the term projection should be used as a projection can never be fulfilled, its almost like a prophecy, like messianic
In the context of individuality it should be considered in a narrative of progress visible in the contemporary circumstances of our society
The individual is defined not by any defining characteristics unique to them as these do not inherently exist, rather they are randomly and often ambiguously prescribed traits in which an, at least somewhat (hence, projected), identity can be constructed
This fragmented identity becomes the base of the given individuals worth and is thus subject to both praise and criticism from the conditions in which it exists, these conditions are themselves an amalgamation of an innumerable degree of variables spanning time and space simultaneously, therefore producing an environment in which this ‘individual identity’ is subject to such extreme turbulence that it’s impossible for it to achieve a constant prescription of worth, for worth, like any prescription, is subject to infinite variance among its co-inhabitants of this virtual environment
