It's fucking hilarious how popular culture (especially Western culture) glorifies individualism for things like clothing, hairstyle, etc as being inherently 'part of your character', when most of it is either rooted in social pressure (e.g. dress a certain way or be made fun of) or external factors e.g. looks/insecurities.
Notice how the ugliest people and especially women are much more likely to choose edgy or non-conventional styles, bizarre hair colors, piercings or whatever gimmicky bullshit they use to stand out. Meanwhile Chad/Stacy stand out by just walking down the street jfl.
It's insane how utterly bullshit this meme of 'being your own person' is. I'm sure that most incels are basement dwelling weebs with horrible smell and hair because they simply choose to be that way.
