Anyone had experience with Manolis Heliotis in London? He's a maxillofacial surgeon that does custom infraorbital rim implants alongside others. Thinking of getting these with him.

Just be aware that pretty much all UK surgeons, even private practitioners are trained within the NHS so they are very oriented towards function. They are technically good but may not be focused on the best aesthetic outcome.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know those well regarded for implant design, especially infras within London? Couldn't find many reviews.

I can't give you any real recommendations, you'll have to shop around. Most London max facs do not advertise widely because they're swimming up to their eye balls in business.

I've gone to consultations where I've felt like I was making a pitch about why they should take my money lol

From the consultations I had, they're definitely much more conservative (which fits the reputation of UK surgeons). I honestly prefer that a lot more, hence my reasoning for not exploring outside of the country. Did you consult for infraorbital rims too, or for other procedures? Honestly could only find Heliotis as the most relatively well-known surgeon for these, but the thing putting me off is that he's not an oculoplastic surgeon. Daniel Ezra and Jimmy Uddin were the two oculoplastic surgeons I considered, but neither do infraorbital rims.

Perfectly reasonable and if you have complications, the surgeon is actually in the country.

I am getting bimax and probably infraorbital rim implants too.

Again, you'll need to just book a bunch of consultations, probably with max facs.
