so i talked to my mother about maxillofacial surgery. she says it still may be able to be covered my insurance when i am older due to my Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

So I would just need a sleep study and all to get a bimax. i also have Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) due to my reccesed mandible so I can also use that as a card

sleep apnea is caused by a narrow airway. i also have tmj so i can js give them a sob story

also sleep apnea amplifer for you greycels is to sleep on your back so your palate is shittier in your sleep

I don’t even need bimax I just have maxilla resorption in the back of my palate so imma get bone grafts there but they won’t do it until I’m 22

This really depends on your insurer - a lot of insurers include a clause saying that you need to spend a period of time using a CPAP machine before they can start suggesting jaw surgery as an alternative, some insurers refuse to cover jaw surgery for sleep disorders (e.g. Allianz). Depends on insurer really.

You’re absolutely right — when it comes to insurance coverage for jaw surgery (like maxillomandibular advancement, MMA) for sleep apnea, the requirements and approval process vary significantly by insurer.

Godspeed brother. I'm fighting my insurance right now over this and it's a pain in the ass. Sleep on your back, having an AHI of 15+ is usually the threshold needed for insurance to cover it

holy mirin was gonna say that last part. remembered AHI can increase if you are on your back
honestly i may just go to South Korea and label it as a functional and aesthetic surgery since there are some blackpilled mfs over there
