I have become obsessed with intelligence and IQ, and ways of improving cognitive function. Tried out Nootropics one of the racetams, Huperzine A, Adrafinil prodrug of modafinil, and the other stuff(The best for me is fishoil and vitamin D, add some choline to that too) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nootropic.

Never tried the study drugs that are usually talked about with neuroenhancement like Modafinil, ADHD medications such as Methyl Phenidate, and dextroamphetamine or those alzheimers medications such as donepezil(acetylcholine esterase inhibitor) and Memantine(NMDA antagonist)

Have tried TDCS (Trancranial direct current) bought one for like 100$ tried it out felt like a nice tingling buzz of alertness, nothing special helped a little. Also checked out some of the literature on improving fluid intelligence and was wondering if there was anything more to it.

Now before you reply go through the sources and confirm or disprove whatever I've cited about improving intelligence. Here are the sources

https://www.pnas.org/content/105/19/6829. One of the Authors of the paper John Jonides giving a talk on improving cognitive function

Watch this if possible at 2x speed. Largely this stuff is mostly about Dual N Back if interested here's some games and links for more

https://groups.google.com/g/brain-training, http://dual-n-back.com/nback.html

Lastly I read some of the Einstein factor book by Win Wenger and got interested in image streaming is this hogwash or maybe true. http://www.winwenger.com/imstream.htm

I also kinda went into it more cause Bioneer made a vid about it and kinda trust the dude, here

There is nothing more harmful than a too high iq besides bad looks

Modafinil works for me. No more brain fog or confusion when I'm working and able to understand and come up with algorithms easier.

not rly, have met someone who legit was a 130+ iq dude, scored really really good on a test without studying while others studied for months to achieve his mark.

Omega outgoing and extroverted, NT as fuck. decent looking (4.25-4.5) and has -tons- of bitches.

IQ doesnt mean shit social skills or being stuttering shy.

-Fluctuating your neurotransmitters with drug use (upper into downers for weeks-months straight) to induce adult neurogenesis.
-Chelation regiment
-SRRIs
-lithium
-neuropeptides (drug)
-induce synesthesia https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/11/141118105522.htm

Very fringe science wont have all the answered laid out for you ffs, you have to be creative. Its too hard to prove something so complicated that will be hyper dependent on the individual. Some people can induce synesthesia with psychedelic and some people cant-

If you knew portuguese, I would recommend you to read "Aprendendo Inteligência", by Pierluigi Piazzi...

It's literally a book about increasing your iq, made by an italian iq mogger (naturalized as brazilian).

Wow thank you so much.

I m planning to learn portuguese after spanish because i heard they are similar.

Any other book recommendations?

Very true.
Contrary to popular belief, being very intelligent actually alienates you from society (and especially women), instead of bringing you closer to it.

So how do we increase intelligence, what are the best ways?

creatine increases iq.

Research out of the University of Sydney showed that if you take 5g of creatine daily, you can lift your IQ by a full 15 points over a six-week period. Said study leader Caroline Rae, "Creatine gave a significant boost to brain power."

Yeah, that's why so many philosophers hated women, oh and also because women are awful.

its also why being curry is a failo women see us as high iq brainmoggers who will decimate their mental framework.

really unfortunate some of us ruin it for others because avg curry iq is a mere 125.

Can you solve this sequence?

c

the 4th block starts overlapped with the one on the right and then moves to the left one space every time. the other two move diagonally

How did you do it?

I asked a similar question on reddit and got very interesting answers.

One person said he was creating an animation like this in his head:

pretty much this.

saw the diagonally moving boxes instantly - the horizontal movement wasnt as obvious (bc they were overlapping to start so a bit trickier).

What was your thought process? Can you remember exactly the steps your brain took to come up with the answer? How did your brain encode the information (i.e. all grids overlaying and forming an animation, or you just had tetris like blocks stored next to each other, or any other encoding?) Then what ideas did you try? Did you do iterative hypothesis testing, i.e. you tried if some idea worked, then checked it -> didnt work -> refine the idea or come up with a new one, repeat until you figure out the pattern.

u didnt ask me but ill try to explain mine -

the diagonal movement was staring right at me looking at the second image. then it also added up in the 3rd. so really 'c' was the only option that would align with this.

then i tried to make sense of the horizontal movement to align with c - first thought was there was an unsees chain of blocks coming in from the right pushing the existing block left and forming a chain. this makes sense till image 3 but not with option 'c' (4th image).

i also considered an invisible block jumping over the stationary block but thats not really consistent either - so then i realized it might be overlapping the one which remains stationary.

I knew each block was going to move some way between each frame. I assumed since there were only 3 blocks in the first and 4 in the rest that two were overlapping. Intuitively it seemed like the one on the right would be the one to overlap, and then my brain just went to the first one square at a time movement scheme that would result in the second frame and that checked out. I kinda just guessed that the one block wasn't moving. It could have been a lot more difficult if they had moved in some complex fashion, rather than one block at a time. I guess that would be iterative testing, but my first hypothesis turned out to be right. This all happened rather quickly. The only thing I explicitly thought about was the overlapping block and once I decided to check using the right block as the overlapping block I could just kinda see the rest immediately. I didn't actually think "well, I'll check and see if they move one block at a time"
