For the purpose of making money you still need high IQ, though. Being a wise janitor makes you less subhuman but it doesn't make you very successful. Ideally you'd want to be both wise and intelligent.

Upper middle class white background, college educated (usually in things like STEM and other fields that require at least a decent IQ), very well-spoken, at least average and often above average IQ, but have zero common sense and know literally nothing besides what they learned in a classroom or from approved mainstream political narratives. But now answering the premise of OP, yes, most people are not wise, and credentials and such are just a mean to an end, a way to have acess to a better job and that's it.

Very few people have passion over things, even the things they study in college.

I remember back in middle and high school I had a lot of colleages that only had good grades, but I noticed a lack of passion among them regarding any single subject, they were only good at memorizing and studying, since they had a good social life and healthy brain, and outside that academic enviroment, they would be clueless about 99% of the things they study.
