401k is for cucks imagine being so arrogant that you put part of your paycheck i to a government account assuming you eill live until 60.

it's a scam. any system of money, inheritance, investment, etc where you don't get frontloaded a million dollars at 18 is a travesty. the point is to sequester that money away from the youth. boomers would rather live to a hundred and spend all their savings on cruises than let their children have a head start in life.

It's a scam. Can't touch the money until you're 65. Can't choose what you're invested in. Huge penalty if you ever need the money before an arbitrary date. Employers don't even match it anymore. Rolling shit over is a huge cluster fuck.

Why not just open your own personal brokerage account?

There is NO reason to open a 401k.
