Cognitive Ascension is the most invisible upgrade.

Most people try to ascend by changing their face.
Very few change how their mind operates.

Slow your speech.
People associate speed with nervousness and low status.
Calm pacing = control.

Stop reacting instantly.
A 1–2 second pause before responding signals confidence and authority.

Eliminate filler words.
“Uh,” “like,” “you know” leak uncertainty.

Read things that sharpen perception, not motivation.
Psychology, philosophy, strategy > hype content.

Drop validation behaviors.
No overexplaining.
No justifying your preferences.
No fishing for approval.

The goal isn’t to impress.
It’s to become internally solid.

Once your mind ascends, your presence follows

doesn't matter if you're a framecel/manlet

this will work but only if you're not severely lacking in any other category

You need to be tall for speech skills to be beneficial? :ROFLMAO:

lmaooo this is something that helps everyone, no one said you're gonna slay 5 times as much as before
If you're a ltn and you learn how to speak well, then you're a well spoken ltn
If you're a chad and you learn how to speak well, you're a well-spoken chad.

Speech is one of the most underrated skills imo, no negative to being good at it

to put it more accurately, what i mean is there is a logarithmic relationship

even if you speak better, if you're 5'1, shaped like a pear with a subhuman face, it won't benefiti you much

as a matter of fact it might be a detriment

it is common knowledge that people have a preconcieved view of your intelligence based on your appearance

ofc for the person that's just "below average" any improvement to speech is beneficial

but people at their core hate it when you don't conform to their preconceived assumptions about you

I mean you and i both know this can be referring to anything lol, whether it be with confidence, haircut, fashion. "NOTHING MATTERS WHEN YOU ARE UGLY!!!" You can basically say that about any softmaxxes, saying "it doesnt help as much" doesnt mean anything imo because if it is still net positive and still helps, then do it, but I agree, the uglier you are, the less individual softmaxxes is going to improve you.

I have no idea how this can even be a detriment, unless you mean this...

....People judge you as soon as they see you, but i think you are putting to much weight into someones intial assumptions lol. Theres no way someone is going to hate you to their core bc you surprised them with how good you are at something. Ya ofc theres people who hate because they have nothing going for them, but that isn't usually the majority. If someone's hating js bc of that, they probably had a previous problem with you, lol.

i think the way i view it is similar to the whole "napoleon syndrome", where short men with confidence are percieved as being arrogant or prideful

with the other softmaxxes, those are directly improving your appearance, in other words you're fixing the major issue being looks/height etc

the main rift i'm trying to highlight is that between your physical appearance and how you try to come off

and i'm not saying people will hate you, but many will feel distaste

as an anecdote: last year i attended a research conference
prior to the beginning of the presentations, there was a pretty short indian man, approx 60 years old, looked like he just flew over
turns out he was one of the professors, but when he began talking he spoke very eloquently
both my dad (who was with me) and a girl next to me told me (in conversation) that they didn't think he'd speak "like that"
even going to say "it's weird"

people will always try to fit you to your stereotype/how they initially percieve you

if you have a long relationship with them that can change into a halo, but generally it could be an initial hurdle

Ahhh, interesting, we either completely disagree, or we are talking about two different things haha

When the OP proposed becoming skilled at speech, the speech I'm referring to is one in which the speaker is fluent and sends the message he needs to, to the listener, with no verbal issue (and in my head sounds perfectly normal whether it's a 1on1 conversation or presentation). It's a skill that is tuned to match any setting; loud, quiet, funny, serious, whatever the event is, the speaker should be able to match the energy of the environment.

Idk about you, but the only times I hear abt an indians accent being "weird" is when they try to speak normally w/o training  , which is why I think that we're talking about two different things. The indian your talking about would sound "trained" from my perspective, and the only "weird" thing about it is that he doesn't sound like the other indains! Which wouldn't be in a negative tone the same way your anecdote was. (unrelated, but I can imagine a little kid saying "he sounds weird:p" in a positive way after realizing the presenter's voice isn't like every other indian lol)

Your anecdote was useful thank you
people will always try to fit you to your stereotype/how they initially percieve you
I agree to this, but I also believe that the amount they try to make someone fit that stereotype varies a lot. (like older people not trusting blacks as much as younger generations do). Like, I will ALWAYS subconsciously think that an asian im sitting next to is somewhat smart, but if they're not, then theyre not. I barely thought about it bc i barely care.
Basically js saying that yes, everyone has their feelings about you, but theyre alot more malleable and susceptible to change than others because it's based on their first impression of you and isn't as set in stone yet.
if you have a long relationship with them that can change into a halo, but generally it could be an initial hurdle
But yeah i still can't imagine how skilled speech could ever be a hurdle besides someone's voice being obnoxious (which explains your anecdote)

I believe I understand what you're saying with the sterotypes but i dont think its a brutal and as weighted as you make it seem.
