Ipd by itself is useless. I see people saying muh 66mm is ideal.

It really just depends on the width of your zygos and ethnicity (blacks have higher IPDs on average, check the thread on black peoples ratios). If you have wide zygos you might want to have a higher IPD or vice versa.
Which basically waters down to ESR.
i myself have 73mm ipd and 153 zygos, if i had a 66mm ipd i’d look like a cyclops.
66:153= 4,31 ESR
73:153= 4,77 ESR
