Today I was in a philosophy class at my uni, the professor basically spends the whole class asking philosophical questions and then debating the class over them, sometimes having readings or quizzes.
Example: two men are shot in the same way with the same intent, one in front of a hospital and survives, the other far from a hospital and dies, Should the prison sentences be different.
At this point I have been in the class for a while and generally I give much more thought out arguments than anyone else. I can tell he only calls on me when he wants a serious counter point and sometimes when he’s making a weak argument (NPCs still can’t dismantle it) he won’t call on me at all or wait till lot of people have said stupid shit first. I’m not mad at all I agree with the way he does this.
Anyway today after dispensing some high IQ counterpoints in class I’m walking down the hall and a random guy walks next to me and says some shit like “you sure say a lot in class”
I’m like “mhm”
“I don’t allways understand your points haha, really interesting tho”
I’m like alright
???
(This happened a separate time as well with a different person)
Anyway we part ways and I walk into the cafeteria, after sitting down I’m messaging people on my phone, some guy from my class sits right across from me (there are lots of open seats.) he sits their for like 3min and then is like “what’s ur name again”
Then we have a little conversation just “where u from” kinda thing.
Also I feel like random girls look at me a lot in class even when I’m not speaking, probably cope tho idk.
I can’t believe the way people can’t maki good arguments, also social skills. I’m a clear outlier in a group of like 20 people, I’m not even extroverted I’m usually quiet in class. The extroverted school smart kids try to argue sometimes but get dismantled immediately, kinda funny.
Thank god I spend all my time arguing with people instead of talking about football or some normie shit, it’s so exhilarating. Feels like playing chess and gambling at the same time.
I think the professor likes it too kinda funny cuz we are both doing the same thing while everyone else is confused, he even pulled me aside for being absent for like 4 classes in a row but said it was chill because basically real recognize real (not his words you get the point)
Also fuck rotate the apple I can disassemble and reassemble a lawn mower in my mind
