thoughts on this? in blue being some metal or food grade PETG and in red being bands. The idea is for the bands to force the mouth shut like in bite correction appliances, and for the blue part to lead to maxillary projection via pushing internally, kind of like thumb pulling but constant and stronger, and kind of like an internal face mask device.

my palate with is fine so i dont see how marpe would help, about the second part that is an interesting point but keep in mind there is direct upward pressure on the maxilla and the downwards pressure your talking ahout would mainly be routed to the temples via the masseters (aussming one of the main forces keeping your mouth closed is your masseters and not just the bands smth i forgot to mention in the op so thx for pointing it out), do you think if the main force hodling it shut is your mouth it would still have negtive effects?
