I've been using Adapalene in the morning aswell as 0.025 Tretinoin in the night for 4 days in a row, first time using this tretinoin. No irritation or anything, skin looks exactly the same and feels the same. I though tretinoin was meant to kill your skin initially? Is 0.025 just too weak or is my skin moisture barrier too chad for tretinoin? Does anyone have a concentration vs efficacy graph for tretinoin btw? JFL

Chill you've been using it for 4 days see you in a week bro

Besides 0.025 should only be used to ramp up dosage if your skin is sensitive

If you don’t have sensitive skin just go straight to 0.05 and apply it every other day if you get irritated

JFL, when i switched from adapalene to tretinoin, my skin literally started peeling on the next day whereas with adapalene there was 0 irritation, and 0.025% is enough for collagen stimulus. Adapalene binds to beta and gamma receptors, whereas tretinoin binds to alpha receptors too, so it's superior, adapalene seems to be more often prescribed to people with sensitive skin.

I'm using both daily, 0 peeling or irritation. Wondering if my tretinoin is bunk or not tbh

Don’t use both. One is enough.

Adaplene took 3 months to clear my skin, so you’re being very impatient.

They work on different receptors, Adapalene is like candy to my skin, it's weak as shit. Dermatologists prescribe this combo you know
Dermatologists can be clowns. I went to the best dermatologist in my city and she wasn’t able to treat my acne. After all treatments failed she prescribed me antibiotics, which are horrible for your immune system and gut health. I wanted to take them when I felt very desperate, but then God showed me the way and I decided to try Adapalene. I wanted to quit several times because my acne got worse at first (purging phase), but I continued treatment and it finally worked after 12 weeks.

BRO WTF I HAD BAD NIGHT VISION ON ACCUTANE
retin a and adepalene are topical though

Be careful though, this was meant as a caution. Also burning facial fat is a pretty common side effect. So I guess you have to monitor closely how it affects you, gl anyway.

i got accutane prescribed on first visit JFL
but seriously adapelene + tretinoin would only be an issue if both were strong, adapelene is weak and tretinoin is strong so its okay

Need to find the right doctor and do research yourself aswell. Lots of doctors are incompetent tbh

You came here for advice. My advice is quit either adapalene or tret. Use only one. If one doesn’t work after several weeks try the other.

I think @Soalian did the same thing but still had facial fat loss around the eye area. You still need to be careful and monitor the progress maybe take a picture of your eye area once everyday.

Mine are fully hooded so it should be easy to tell, I'll take a weekly pic tbh

Fuck me man, you should do research on what you use on your skin. To see results you should use adapalene every day for 3 - 6 month, longer if you have thick skin. THERE`S NO CORRELATION BETWEEN IRRITATING AND POSITIVE EFFECT.
Use it every evening, not morning because it makes skin sensitive to sunlight. Use sunscreen when you go out to prevent skin cancer. Using adapalene and tret simultaneously is mistake.

legit remark, but i doubt you will find any research on using few retinoids simultaniously

I read 0.025 is just as good as 0.1 long term if you use it long enough for anti-aging purposes.
