Is a 45 kg sandbag overhead press good for a first attempt?

I would get barbells but dont have the money. I want to know where I stand but all the info on standards online is about barbells.

I never pressed overhead, I do some pushups.

I pressed these two, they are damp so they actualy weigh 45 kg on the scale.
73 kg at 17-18 bf is my stats.

try and get your overhead press 1RM your bodyweight as a challenge, it’ll take a while

buy a chin up bar its cheap push ups chin ups are enough for the upper body if regular push ups are easy you can do deficit push ups or push ups with slow negative or pause

buy a chin up bar its cheap push ups chin ups are enough for the upper body if regular push are easy you can do deficit push ups or push ups with slow negative or pause

there’s some cheap barbells and weights on amazon, i think they’re brand name is cap barbell or smth. got all my home gym equipment from them, used em for a couple years

I have gymnastic rings and do pullups there, grease the groove style.
i stopped going to a gym long time ago i only do chins push ups squats lunges and neck curls my results are not worse from the time i was going to the gym

I am a moron and coul have bought cheap shit a long time ago but always want to save for the good shit, 50 mm oly style and all that, and I never do.

tbh expensive training equipment is dogshit for roi. 50 dollar 7 foot barbell is 100 times better than 300 dollar 7 foot barbell simply because you can spend the leftovers on other equipment. it’s made out the same shit so it won’t break. and it’s more about the mindset when you train rather than equipment tbh like in Rocky iv

I am somewhat on the spectrum and want to have it all perfect and covered and then I dont even do the shit I can afford.

I wish we would all exeed our expectations. I have 17 cm wrists at 5'10, fucking small frame. I need to get on a beginner program and stick to it. Its a shame to get old and not see what you are capable of.

You may not become Arnold but I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised regardless

just stick to a routine that’s not too fancy
