I thought it was but recent discoveries made me think otherwise. Do you have to eat in a calorie surplus in order to gain muscle, or is just a sufficient amount of protein enough to build new muscle mass?

So what if i follow @Prettyboy s diet, then I would not gain muscle would I?
You could given how hard you train
That diet is mainly protein and fats , both are crucial for muscle building while keeping your body at a ketosis state burning fat as well

But @Prettyboy s diet would contain less calories then my maintenance therefore putting me in a deficit. Should I just add some carbs to aid me in gaining muscle?

Yes , add carbs like milk & honey , if you are still need extra calories then use a little more butter when cooking your eggs / beef or whatever your preferred choice of protein is

Not really. I stopped tracking calories, just eat intuitively until I am full and I keep gaining muscle while losing fat(I've been gymcelling for 1.5 years, so long past newbie gains)

What do you think about adding rice? I’m scared that diary will increase acne break outs

Just get steroids and consume enough protein (200-300 grams a day).

Although it may not be the same for you. I just naturally stay at around 10% bf, so I guess I just return to my setpoint

I drink 2.3l of organic pasteurised whole milk per day and have noticed 0 difference in break outs. In fact rice gives me more break outs than milk does. I think it's more of a individual thing

Zeta, I wanted to ask you a question. Did you get any surgeries done during your ascension?

White rice is very good yes
Another one is sour dough bread , these are the least processed sources of carbs along with potatoes

What do you think about the people saying you should avoid eating carbs?

No lmao

Look into body recomposition

Not very smart
The goal is to avoid processed, unnatural starches / carbs like white bread, pasta , basically the foods that will bloat you and cause gut complications

1)if your beginner
2) if you have good genetics
3) if your on gear
4) if your above 20% bf
5) if you’ve quit the gym for a long period and came back (myscle memory)

If you have none of this just forget about it

No, lots of protein. You can around 2000 k and eat lots of protein and you get there. Build muscle naturally by manual labor.

Avoid seed oils and dairy if you suffer from acnee
You can use high dose B-5 to prevent it also (it inhibit sebum production)

No, lean bulking in a surplus with only having carbs before working out. Don’t use creatine and add 30 min of cardio in the morning, I am so lean to the point where I don’t have fat pads on my feed and bench 185 for 7 on incline at 6’2 155.

Add saturated fats not carbs
Carbs is the only non mandatory macro
You can live without carbs
But you can’t live without fats and protein

Only eat carbs pre workout.
Cope
Better do it After workout because of insulin sensitivity and glycogen restore lower the cortisol from training or else the pre workout would make him bloated he has to make the little carbs he has useful
Eating eat before workout would only aid in the pump but actual strenght nahh
Especially if he got fats like 6 hours before the wokout
