Is a cybersecurity degree useless?

my friends brother is making 100k straight out of highschool just from getting a lot of certs (like 20+) he had a lot of internships as well so idk if its that useful

I could get an internship pretty easily through curry connections but I was wondering if it’s better to have a CS degree and get cyber certifications or have a cyber degree

I feel like I have more opportunities with CS as companies usually would take a cs degree with cyber certifications over a cyber degree

I’m in CS, switch to CS. Don’t do cybersecurity or IT. You’re putting yourself in debt for a certificate you can get at a boot camp.
