			nah, it’s not always from maxillary recession, a low nasal bridge can 100% be genetic too. some people just naturally have lower radix height (where the bridge starts near the glabella) regardless of midface projection.
if your midface (infraorbital + zygos) sits flat and the bridge blends straight into it, then yeah, recessed maxilla can make it look lower than it actually is. but if your zygos and under-eyes are fine and the root of your nose still sits low, that’s just bone structure basically how your nasion developed, not a sign of underprojection.
you can tell the difference by checking side profile lines:
if the bridge looks low but the rest of your midface is forward, it’s just a naturally low radix.
if the whole midface caves in under the eyes, then it’s more likely a maxillary deficiency.
so yeah, not always recession. plenty of caucasians (and even north euros) have low bridges genetically it’s just less common than in other populations.
