It’s mostly genetic, nasal bones and upper cartilage play into it, however a recessed maxilla can make the nose seem more prominent. (Rep + mark as solution)

Both. A nose is made to adapt to x weather which is why we tend to see different noses on diff areas with different environments. So, yeah, it's genetic because the environment your ancestors are from genetically plays a role in your nose thats why if u put a fking Nordic in the middle of SSA, they will still keep their nose.
