That seems cultural to a large extent. In the west, where I live, it does appear to be a bit that way, or at least it seems like more of a masculine pursuit.

Maybe if she's feminine in other ways it doesn't necessarily take away from that.

I imagine it's possible to have feminine and masculine qualities simultaneously without them interfering with each other.
