Is accutane bad?

My dermatologist prescribed me Accutane, but I'm not sure about it. Some friends told me it messes up your hormones or something like that. I'm 17 years old.

llevo 41 días en 20mg al dia, cambios muy poco, sigo teniendo acne muy visible, la piel reseca, los labios raspados y un poco de dolor muscular. en unos dias vuelvo al derma a ver si me sube la dosis

not yet, i was using tret for a while but it didn't do that much. i use bone marrow cream now just for moisturization, the scars aren't super noticeable so i'm not too focused on finding a solution
