Is adapalene worth it?

I'm having skin problems. I use a cleanser morning and evening, followed by a moisturizer. I don't have acne, but I do get quite a few closed comedones mostly on the forehead and sometimes on my cheeks. Would adapalene be an option for me, or should I use something else? I'm 18 years old, so my collagen levels should be normal, and I have combination skin. Adapalene is much more accessible for me because I couldnt find an source for tret in the Eu
