anchorage specifically. ik its kind of stupid to ask here but i guess i'm assuming people here might be more honest rather than fully pessimistic or dickriding like reddit or some shit if anyone knows anything about it, just gonna copy paste ts into reddit if not
my main question is what's life like there, anything notably different from regular suburbs? how hard is it to make friends? i can cope without a family and gf but not without friends
Thinking of moving there once I've finished my time in the military, wanna save up a lot during it to get a place there, maybe escape from the mexicans invading the US. i'm aware it's expensive but I plan to be alone for the near and far future so hopefully that cuts costs down by a lot. the nature there seems like the ultimate cope for me and i've always wanted to live somewhere unique
small problem is I'm not sure if it's super racist, not trying to act like a victim or anything, just curious, I have lived in rural mostly white areas for a long time, and have gotten used to a little bit of it but I'm not sure if they are especially racist there or something(im black
)
i plan to work construction since i am enlisting as a 12N (heavy equipment op), but let me know if there are any interesting unique job opportunities that don't take college to get into or anything
