I currently have a 9070XT, Ryzen 7800x3d, 32GB DDR5 RAM PC.

I'm going to sell my old laptop for around £800.

I have a 2560x1440p and 144hz MSI monitor, but was thinking to use the laptop money to upgrade to a ASUS ROG OLED 2560x1440 with 240 or 280hz.

Is it worth the money? I play a lot of triple AAA titles like God of War, The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption etc.

@Jason Voorhees you know your tech and @Leo right??

Yes it's not a marketting gimmick. The colors look insane but only buy if you watch movies or play games in the dark. The oled monitors that are in the entry and mid range don't get very bright for a very bright oled you need to shell out for something called tandem oled which is stupid expensive rn

This one:

It's really good. Only complaint i would have is the hdr colors are kind of weird but i don't really use hdr anyways since SDR looks amazing
I don't play games but I'm big movie watcher. HDR implementations on monitors is still very inconsistent. Not worth the hassle tbh

Yes 100% worth it.

I currently use an ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM and AW3423DWF, and they're both beautiful.

Or if u rich rich then get this one

What is the difference between 144hz (current), then 240 (potential upgrade) and then the suggested 360hz.

I thought 240hz would be enough no?

His GPU can't even push those many frames what he gonna do with 360 hz.

9070XT is midway between a 5070 (better than) and 5% slower than a 5070ti, it can push those frames easy in cs2, fortnite, apex etc and my cpu mogs

yes. if u have extra money spend it on getting 4k @ 240hz. extra refresh rate isnt worth it.

ngl 4k is more important than higher refresh rate.

:lul::lul: i used to play a lot of valorant:forcedsmile:
You have sound dampening material too jfl. You kinda like my co worker. Has the most baller setup I have seen some 1000 dollar monitor with 5090 and 64 gb ddr5 or some shit. I don't use my PC a lot. I'm a very casual gamer and only play games on my ps5. I'm a movie buff. I love my giant oled TV and a Bose soundbar and love spending the entire weekends watching sports ball and movies.

lol yeah tbh I hardly use my pc for demanding games I don’t play anything besides geoguessr😂

I watch hella film asw but I don’t bother spending money on any subscriptions so I’m always watching on pirated sites and the quality is not great most of the time:forcedsmile:

Is that better than a ASUS ROG OLED for cheaper though?

I feel like the ROG OLED's have unparalleled aura when it comes to the OLED discussion.

For 419 or 560USD
