Maybe in the 1980's but I feel people are super familiar with the Caribbean now and it's not really a halo in itself these days.

But Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Latino men share a similar SMV to Afro-American men.

There's also Indo-Caribbean people who are usually more NT and low-inhib compared to your average Indian. And there's non-Black Latinos who have a pretty decent SMV(esp. due to not having much Native admixture).
