It's not about "normies" this time. You just cant gauge the relative height if the difference is too big. Gauging someone shorter than you is easier because you can estimate how far away they are from your eye level which is about 5 inches difference.

If you look up to someone taller than you there is no frame of reference. I could probably estimate someones height within an inch accuracy if he's less than 4 inches taller than me. Then it's just "Jesus christ just how tall are you?"
