It seems to build the chest a lot. I'll still go to the gym like once a week if required, mainly to test strength.

Will give you the ideal proportions. Remember to max out your forearms.

How much do you weigh? And have you made gains?

Never tried it tbh

Calisthenics is very much legit, not so much for gaining maximal strength and size but for overall fitness and health. You can get big enough muscles for attraction with calisthenics but not bodybuilder big, also you won't be too big for sports in general.
I do calisthenics 3 times a week, loads of manual labor and cardio, no gym and i weigh 92kg.
Calisthenics is in no way superior to the gym but it's a good alternative and it's good if you want to improve actual performance, pull ups and dips engage a lot of different muscles at once and the motions are natural and safe for the body if performed correctly, low risk of injury, good for long term fitness.
I'm thinking of starting gym again though to gain more muscle mass and strength.

Dunno dunno every calisthenics dude @ internet seems to be jacked but not massive. Basically it's like gymceling while having a 5 inches wrists frame — nobody will acknowledge you're a monster in fact and sure nobody gives a fuck 'bout how you can do 50 pullups

Don't really want to be jacked tbh. Lean and muscular is enough for me.

I doubt that. If you live in a tropical heaven where you can showoff 24/7/365 then yeah
By attraction i mean maybe 0.5-1psl increase if maxxed out. Nothing miraculous but definitely has effect compared to untrained.
My skin used to look bad before exercising ridiculous amounts, now my skin texture looks much better, i think it's the combination of cardio and muscle training that causes it. The skin improvement can add maybe 0.25 psl or more if you start with bad skin.
The improved health can boost your mental functioning and social functioning through slight testosterone increase = slightly lower inhibition.

Unless you have an interest in it, you are better off going to the gym, its more efficient.

You basically learnt all the exercises in 3 months, you'll see some gains but it won't increase your overall muscle mass like gymceling

I would I had the time, but I still can't drive by myself (Haven't even gotten my liscense yet jfl)

Dunno 'bout skin but T increase is something worth working out for that's true. Also checked calisthenics dudes, some of them are actually huge but the same results you can achieve by part-time gymceling. Anyway it's up to one whether to gymcel or to calisthenicscel. At least calisthenics has some art in it, you sorta maximize your body potential and master it. Gymceling is a no-brain mode

I was 2 years late getting my license. I should have gotten it as soon as I turned 16 but my parents weren't thrilled with 16 year old me driving.

Gym is way better for building muscle.
also most people who say they do home workouts quit after 1-2 days

It's fine but it quickly becomes inefficient. The workload to induce adaptation with weights is a fraction of what it eventually takes with calisthenics.

This being said, the average person could develop their musculature very close to their genetic potential with a program consisting solely of chinups, dips, handstand pushups , one legged squats, and calf raises. By the time you can do one arm pullups with strict form your arm development would leave little to be desired.

Need to get it before 18 so I can drive in Canada when I move there for college. Getting a license in Canada is a lot harder I heard.
