yes, will help with energy and a better workout. just make sure you dont eat to much and it ruining ur macros and just making u fatter
 
No, high GI carbs are definitely not worth it on a cut.

The bloodsugar crash after your session is beyond brutal.
Boiled potatoes do the trick nicely
 
I would add protein and Cluster/ Malto in your intra so your blood sugar doesn't crush
