Is "Catch up" growth legit?

I have heard a lot that if you were legit stunted when younger, your body has a localized ability to catch up later on provided you improve your environment before about mid 20s or so.
Cope or true?

late bloomers are a noted phenomena in pediatrics. But they're often shorter final adult height than their "normal" peers on average.

The papers ive read suggest that childhood and teenage nutrition isn't actually a really relevant factor (and overfeeding, as in obesity, actually depresses final adult height), despite what is commonly touted both here and in the mainstream. Instead authors suggest the reason for the generational improvement in height, particularly evident in countries (such as in asia) that have become affluent in a relatively short amount of time, is the better treatment and prevention of childhood diseases. I'm not surprised by this, first of all "improved nutrition" is dubious at best; the food supply in most countries has been the most nutritious and plentiful it has been in human history, for a very long time. Secondly, does the average family in 2005 eat "better" than the average family in 1965? I really doubt it. They certainly have more calories on demand, but the supply of important nutrients isn't any better.

when you're puberty is done, its done.

nothing you can do can reactivate the androgen receptor sensitivity, which is like 100fold higher in puberty than in not.

Its interesting though. If androgen receptor sensitivity is highest in teenage years.. why are my muscles getting so big in my early 20's? Muscle and androgens are one of the same. Im natty and even though ive been lifting for 7 years (14-21) I've gained more mass at 21 then the other 6 years combined. Nutrition has always been good as well.

because androgens have a higher tendency to exert themselves within tissues such as cartilage, bones and reproductive organs rather than muscle tissue during puberty. After puberty, when testosterone reaches its peak, it can exert itself within muscle cells and induce hypertrophy and raise muscle protein synthesis. Atleast that's my theory behind it.

Is it possible to be low T as a teenager and then high T after? Thats definitely what happened to me.

It is true. However the likely hood of having a late growth spurt is about 1 in 10,000 I think it is. You'd have a better chance of getting hit by a bus. What's funny is that I actually come from a family of late bloomers who all grew into their 20's. Yet I am the only person who didn't end up growing out of all of them. Here I am at age 25 still not even as tall as my father OR mother. However my parents never made the kind of money I have at this age, so now im in the market for height surgery. I guess it works out now.

Unless you were severely malnourished as a kid, catch-up growth doesn't apply to you
I was, so much processed food and lack of quality animal products, let alone raw and pastured raised. Shit ton of pufas and toxins too
