Depends on what u wanna do

Tho I recommend a little more for speed

Even while working the speed is important and a 200 dollar chrome book would be slow

If u want a cheap price get a descent laptop used from eBay with better specs and cheaper than a new one

all good laptops cost 1000+
ive run through a couple of laptops that were cheaper and they ALL suck ass and fail pretty fast
and i dont like macbooks

they said chromebooks are better for browsing and thats what im gonna do, ONLY that, i have no time for gaming and other stuff :smonk: ...

What u need if u wanna open a lot of tabs is ram memory

Look at a notebook with high ram memory that will make multitasking better

raspberry pi 5 (8gb ram version is 80$, case is 10$) with linux on it (much faster than windows)

yeah, less microsoft bloat in the background slowing down your computer

windows uses over 1gb of ram on idle
linux uses less than 600mb

so the raspberry pi with the 8 gbs is enough for tons of tabs?

It can handle 15+ tabs fine. Linux is easier and much better than windows, don’t listen to microsoft propaganda.

Chromebooks can be decent. I have an Acer Chromebook 15 that I used as my normal computer for 5 years, never had any problems. Has to be SeaBIOS compatible though, otherwise you're stuck with using chromeos or having to use linux via crouton (which is slow as fuck).
