Is coconut oil legit for hair and skin?

Anyone tried using it on hair for example? I notice when I don't wash my hair for few days, and then wash it, it feels amazing and looks amazing. I figured that maybe coconut oil could give that effect permanently?

yeah its my magic stew for chad hair
what it does is lower the amount of protein you lose from hair
but dont use it on your skin tho, it will clog your skin,just on your hair
