Collagen is mostly relevant for old people and it has been evidenced to work at improving the skin's collagen. For young people, it is still useful to reduce some inflammation markers (due to aminoacid balancing), gut health, joint health and potentially age slower by preventing collagen degradation early on, but it offers very tiny benefits, so unless you're into healthmaxxing, don't do it for your appearance because it will not have any effect whatsoever.

Thanks for the high effort reply

I have trouble with acne and therefore probably gut health.
Might aswell use it instead of it just laying around

No, everyone should look into collagenmaxxing regardless of age. Especially if you have brutal undereyes as a yutecel (that are not caused by bone recession). The thing with collagen is that most skincare products/supplements are pure copium and will do nothing for you, this thread explains it more: https://looksmax.org/threads/why-90-of-collagen-products-are-cope-smart-niggas-only.1450039/

Yeah, honestly if you have it, it doesn't hurt to experiment and see if it gives you any benefit.

Well yeah of course, collagenmaxxing in general works, but if we're only speaking of collagen supplements then that's really not that relevant for older people for small benefits. But things like collagen injections are truly helpful

The results are negligible, very minimal over a very long period of time
