Well no, it maybe a co factor but there is no evidence that high dht directly causes hairloss.

For the last 20 years, the testosterone levels has been decreasing
1757846082739.png

as u can see from this graph, we also know that low testosterone equals low dht.

then why do we have increasing hairloss rates?

If DHT was the primary cause of hair loss then we must have decreasing hair loss rates, but the graph shows inversely.

Yes hairloss is determined by genetical sensitivity of ur hair follicles to DHT and yes nuking DHT to death does work in regrowing ur hair but nuking DHT is a terrible idea and has many side effects such as:

Erectile dysfunction, Mental problems, Gyno, etc.
Also very low DHT can be a promoting factor for prostate cancer(very high DHT could be the cause too)

Botox For Hair: Do Botox Scalp Injections Promote Hair Growth?

Learn more about botox scalp injections for hair including how they impact hair loss, side effects, and the results botox for hair can offer.

The real cause of hairloss:

Is inflammation:

Let me explain

The mechanism here is:
Inflammation-->DHT mobilisation-->Scalp tightness-->Oxygen/nutrients deprivation-->hair loss

Even in this equation, the DHT mobilises itself as a defence mechanism against these things. Once DHT mobilises, the androgenic activity in that area increases which leads to scalp tightness.

Now the genetic predisposition lies in the mobilisation of DHT, some people, even tho their DHT mobilises, they wont experience scalp tightness and ultimately hairloss, but some do. DHT might fit in the equation, but it is not the main driver of hairloss its inflammation.

Why does minoxidil/rosemary oil work??

Well, both of them inhibit the DHT mobilisation in the scalp and thereby preventing hairloss, but the main cause which is inflammation is not addressed so that is why u have to keep using minoxidil or rosemary oil or else you will lose your hair.

Edit: this is just a different perspective about hairloss and dht, not saying, this is necessarily correct, and i think jonas and chadisbeingmade has better knowledge in hairloss than me, i just want u guys opinion on this one.

If you dont want your prostate poking on your tummy, eat Finasteride daily.

They say that a pill of Fin a day keeps the rumour away

So whats the solution then? We’ve had these pseudoscience threads for years.

Rosemary oil doesn’t do shit to hairloss.

Oh and Minoxidil doesn’t even stop hair loss, it just helps some follicles regrow hair. The mechanism is not very well known but it has to do with enlarging blood flow at scalp level.

inflammations are the main cause

DHT isn’t the culprit, it’s the cleanup crew.
Hair loss should be seen as a toxicity problem first and foremost. It happens when metals, rancid industrial oils, and a lack of oxygen to the cells choke the follicle, only THEN does DHT mobilise to try and repair the damage.

But if the scalp stays toxic, the repair turns to fibrosis and eventually miniaturisation.
That’s why blocking DHT might appear to work on the surface while it quietly degrades the organism underneath.
It's also well known that balding didn’t exist before civilisation.
Populations living on raw animal fat, blood, milk, organs, and seafood never went bald.

It's your opinion vs years of research that has basically ruled out any other cause other than the androgenic theory.

And no. Aside from the fact that rosemary oil does jack shit, even if you do not stop minox and you keep using it, you will still loose your hair. It doesn’t solve anything at all.

You armchair scientists can eat all the raw meat you would like, you will be popping Fin/Dut all by yourself without any convincing after doing your bullshit remedies given enough time with your hair falling out.

i guess so and i agree, it was just a different perspective i believe

yeah i know minox is overrated

i mean yeah fin/dut works for sure, idk i just felt this was a different perspective

main cause is from localised 5a reductase activity through testosterone conversion
