is double jaw surgery overrated?

i always see a bunch of stuff on the forums about double jaw surgery. its one of the most talked about and recommended surgeries for ascending, however i don't know if it is really as good as people say it is. im planning to get it in austria soon. ill get a double jaw surgery with both maxillary and mandible advancement along with CCW rotation. im not like recessed to the point where im deformed but recession is definitely still there and the typical normie would probably notice it as well. i just want to know what to expect from my sugrery and if it would actually do a lot for me or not.
