some users are speaking constantly about ccw as a method for correcting downward grown but ive never seen result which could actually fix that. Is it even possible? Have u ever seen any decent one? AFAIK gonial angle cant change with ccw movement, tho. Occlusal plane =/= mandibular plane.

no. you can get CCW with a proper occlusion. they can just fuck up your occlusional plane on purpose a bit for aesthetic reasons if you want. the back molars will be lower than the front incisors from the side view. they can do this in the situation that you want the mandible to be moved forward and gonial angle changed. there's a lot you can do with a bimax and all of this. you can practically do anything with different movements. it's not that complicated really.

only the anterior part of the mandible (where the teeth start). there would be an extra angle in your mandible

his philtrum doesnt seem lnger at all, in fact he has a perfect 1 midface ratio. His eyes are in the same line than his lips, it seems like a postural problem no need at ALL to a super invasive osteo wtf. Theres no need for bimax if he doesnt have sleep and breathing problems, a jaw implant with genioplasty would work way better. CCW rotation doesnt seem necessary. @Rate_My_Face first u need to softmax to know what u really need to hard improve, so fix the posture (Go to a doctor u clearly hae posture imbalance), eat better sleep beteer and drink more water for the hair, and start exercising for an athletic body/better skin. After that u come here again.

No. Not that it always stays the same. Just that you can't SHORTEN the philtrum. You could make it longer but not shorter. This is because it's SKIN. It's like fabric. You could stretch it out but if you shorten the bones under it it's still stretched out from a lifetime of having a long midface.

And bimax can sometimes cause a puffy philtrum as well or more forward philtrum. Never said it wouldn't "change" the soft tissue. It can.

It won't lengthen as long as you don't move the maxilla down and slightly forward at the same time.

It's quite obvious what makes a long philtrum to begin with. It's caused by a long maxilla or midface in the bones, combined with a lack of nasal height in the cartilage and soft tissue, and a high set anterior nasal spine on the nose and then lots of empty space under the ANS going down towards the mouth. This as a child grows develops into the philtrum and can be long or slightly long. A lip lift surgically can augment the soft tissue to remove some of the excess skin whilst simultaneously improving the upper lip fullness and projection.

The size of the advancements have nothing to do with the philtrums "length". You have to understand what you are looking at in a face and what structures beneath each face cause different ratios.

don't worry so much about the mandible, the maxilla is inevitably downward grown too and that's the real problem
