I drink a glass or two a day max.

Of course it’s bad for your health, unless you additionally eat large amounts of food containing water.
It’s regulating temperature and is crucial for waste removal or nutrient transportation.
Also if you eat normally with relatively higher amounts of salt, your body will struggle with dehydration due to this imbalance.
Every time you piss or sweat, you lose electrolytes.

Yes, that’s sufficient. At least it is if you don’t do any demanding sports for several hours a day.
Don’t go over 4.
