Hard mewing means you are purposely/consciously putting your tongue on the palate, its purpose is to make u learn and maintain correct tounge posture until it becomes a subconscious habit
correct tounge posture aka mewing its purpose is to cause CCW rotation (maxilla and mandible moving forward and upwards) before palatul sutures close
