Never seen any proof of this just people assuming its true. Also, if there is a genetic cap, why cant they see it when looking at the dna? 🤔🤔

It's 80% genetics, 20% environment.

Wheres the proof of these numbers
Height is really genetic like everything else, but depending on what you eat, you reach your potential or not, although it really is very little that is needed daily to reach your potential, considering that most people do not starve to death and they exceed 1,500 calories a day

maybe your parents were starving or your grandparents were tall

das 5'11
mom 5'4

me 6'2
although I have not measured myself again for 7 months, maybe I grew or not

"I haven't seen any proof" bro wtf, it's been proven that each of us has different amounts of growth hormone receptors in our bones, and different levels of daily production. Only 20% is determined by diet and environment, the rest is genetics.

My grandpa is 6’, my brother is 6’1 as well but the rest of my family on the other side are 5.9 manlets. 6’1 ain’t too bad because I lift fraud to 6’2.5-3

The 20% environmental 80% is talking about variation in height from the average, not in terms of absolute height. So if you're 6'0 and the average is 5'9, 80% of those extra 3 inches are explained by genetic differences.

Height is a fairly unpredictable and very complex polygenic trait with a moderate correlation within families. But even a little change in genetics can make one sibling much shorter than the other

Let me explain. For example, let's suppose that in average environment you ll grow to 6'. It's genetic. However, if environment is bad or you don't eat enough food/ don't get enough vitamins, don't do any sports + you're overweight all your puberty your final height would be 5'8.
But if environment is top-tier, you live in warm country, where sun shines 75% of the year, so you can get a lot of vitamin D, your parents give you a lot of food and etc + you play sports, them your final height would be 6'4.
So depends on environment your height could be 5'8 - 6'4

Women are shorter than men around the globe, and you'd have to be retarded to assume it's because of malnutrition. It's genes. Almost every physical and psychological characteristic is partly or majorly influenced by genes.

Of course, environment is necessary because genes don't operate in a vacuum, but if you take two seeds, one that is bound to become a tree and one that is bound to become a plant, no matter how much you water them both, only one will grow meters; the tree. Why? Genes.

This

hormones is genetic, nothing environmental and produces the necessary amount of hormones with only a small amount of food

It's not genes, it's hormones. More estrogen - faster growth plates closing

there are African tribes that measure +6'0 and only eat 1 time a day or 2 if they are lucky, in LATAM, to be specific, Colombia, there are people who eat poorly but still end up at 5'9-6'3.

All is genetic

I see a documentary about 2 African tribes. They live in same area, but the average height in one tribe is 2 metres and in other 175. The only difference is that 1st tribe have more nutrition

tribes with tall people only eat milk and bread, rarely meat

Growth spurts and flatlines prove how incredibly genetic height is

it's mostly genetic, with a perfect environment you could be very slightly taller though sure

nothing is %100 genetic. its enviromental too, but here comes the brutality, just like you can't change your genetics, you can't change your past either

its 85% genetics. But if you dont have any chronic diseases it goes up to 95%

Its genetic but also very closely tied to diet. Protein intake during developing years has a direct correlation to height so if all your ancestors had high protein diets which gave them their height then you'll be tall too even if you don't each much protein though not as tall as if you did. This is seen in all species of creatures that live in cold enviroments compared to warm ones as the ones that live in cold habitats are always larger than members of the same species that live in warm habitats. In cold habitats it is very difficult for vegetation to grow so most animal have evolved to be heavy meat eaters which means more protein and more growth.

This applies to people as well, north europeans are much taller than southern europeans even though they live in very close proximity to eachother, the main difference is that the further north you go then the colder, longer and harsher the winters are which also means a more meat and dairy based diet thats high in protein as opposed to the grain and fruit diet in southern europe. Its the same with tall africans, most africans countries have a fairly short average height except for the regions where its so hot that barely any vegetation can survive which leaves these africans having to survive entirely on meat from hunting and fishing and all that protein gives them their height

tldr Its genetics but "tall genetics" come from an ancestry that all had a lot of protein in their diet and people that do not eat enough protein when growing up will not reach their genetic height potential

Environment also plays a huge huge role my father is 5'9-5'10 my mother is 5'3 and I am 6'3 also my elder brother is 5'9
I grew bcoz I used to sleep 8+ hours everyday always ate balanced diet and high protein and sprinted a lot during puberty and also took height growth powders ( jfl) they were just source of high protein my parents used to give me that intentionally I really love my parents for that tbh

If I'm honest, the intake of calcium, zinc and magnesium matters more for height, a large part of these nutrients is found in dairy products and some vegetables

Dairy is life

Did you try haircare thing I advised you? Not brushing and trying to air dry. Also brush it with hands while air drying every 15-30 mins so its fluffy and has good volume. Should be fully dry after 50 mins

@literallcaucasian its needed to be done at least once a month to figure out your hair type. Brushing destroys curls

Yes I did, actually. I feel like my hair is even wavier than I anticipated. Shame I had it cut though.

Well I have wavy hair when short(arouns the same length as you) and very curly if I grow it out. You never know which you really have until you tried to grow it for 9 month+

Its genetic 90%
Completely depends on your time limit which is set of epiphysial plates closure, hormonal profile, growth hormone receptors in bones etc
The reason it cant be seen or studied easily looking at DNA is because it is a polygenic trait (multiple genes play a role) its not one single gene so its pretty complex. These traits do not follow Mendelian inheritance pattern (the simple inheritance pattern ). Skin colour, texture, hair texture are just some other examples of polygenic traits.
