Title. Is knowing how to play an instrument a halo? My mom always wanted me to learn the grand Piano or the violin so I could play in the church choir. I even attended classes for piano in 5th and 6th grade but I found it to be too confusing and boring. My fingers just didn't have the dexterity no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make the notes sound right. Every practice session felt like a chore rather than something enjoyable. I gave up on the Piano and my mom told me learn the violin but that was even worse than piano because you play it through just the feeling and muscle memory alone so after a few months I finally gave up on musical instruments.

It can be a good halo if you can properly show it off. Just film yourself (while looking your best) of playing an instrument well for a few minutes and post it on social media, dating apps, etc. A lotta foids like that

Ur too old, you don't have the brain elasticity to benefit from it now.

Also, with regard to dating, nah, it doesn't matter for women ur age.

I remember I tried to learn a specific piano song to get my oneitis went fucking nowhere but instrumentmaxxing is probably a niche halo tbh, considering how much music can affect our emotional state combined with the status of being a musician

I played piano for 5yrs as a child
Id say it improved my finger flexibility but the entire reason I started to begin with is cuz my primary school teacher suggested it due to my long fingers
But it did definitely improve my musical knowledge

It's a huge halo for keeping a girl, less for attracting her

It can work attracting but would definitely be with girls who're available solely through warm approaches.
I guess it's a good filter because a girl who appreciates that skill would certainly not be LQP (likely HQNP too)

I'd advise you to not tell anybody. It can attack their ego/ make them feel worthless
After you have secured a few dates with a girl, you could walk past a public piano and play a song
Another route (which works with other instruments), is when she is at your house, dig through your old stuff in storage with her and "find" your old guitar

Then play a song

With something like this, quality (+scarcity) would leave a far greater impression than quantity
Like buying flowers
