Is it bad that I want to ascend to go for a girl from school?

I finished school last year, but I am still friends with people from there, and I talked to them and they told me they wanna invite me to some next parties.

The thing is I liked a girl from their class last year but I didn't even try anything, she just knew me and the best interaction we had was her saying goodbye to me last day of school and giving me a hug JFL.

So I'm thinking maybe if she sees me in some next party I could slay her, but idk what do you guys think about that.

Is it lame to do things for one woman?
