Why would you have teeth removed? What have you been eating?

Bone in your body constantly remodels according to demands of the environment.
If you take out teeth, that hole no longer needs bone therefore your jaw LITERALLY SHRINKS. so yes its awful, but in your case i don't think as awful as not removing it .
additionally, assuming you are getting tooth implants with crowns, the metal implant sticking into your jawbone somewhat mimics the presence of natural roots and can preserve much more bone than if you are closing the gap with braces, which is great.

putting a crown
Then it shouldn't be an issue, I reckon. When tooth removal really fucks up aesthetics is when you get braces and effectively hinder jaw development.
