I wake up, take a shower and put on my AirPods.

I listen to music, podcasts or YouTube all day wherever I am, especially now that I don't have school.

Is this bad for my dopamine and are my dopamine receptors fried because of it?

How long have you been doing this?

I've fried my brain doing this kind of shit. I evolved from music to podcasts and all that crap.

I'm addicted to multitasking now and cannot study or do anything without my headphones on. Get off this train while you still can.

Include some classical music , it's good music for stress relief and more concentration

its so hard to find good music nowadays. whenever i find a good song, i literally replay it all day, then get completely bored of it in 24 hours

I have a few playlists full of songs that I like and I try to always listen to a different playlist so I don't get bored

Sure, I will limit my music from now on
Dopamine fasting is harder than that
You will find another Dopamine source or you will feel miserable

So hard

It's bad.

I rather wait and do my tasks throughout the day. After I'm done with studying, homework and other stuff, I lie down in my bed with the doors and windows closed, close my eyes, play and enjoy the music I was dying to listen to the entire day. It's a near orgasmic experience imo.

Also if you're a studycel then listening to music while studying (especially solving problems or memorising content) is the biggest cope. It is detrimental and bad.

Probably fried dopamine receptors a bit

I don't care can't live without music
Won't cut it out of my life

Depends
If used to block outside noise no

If no outside noise it's interfering

But I feel It helps me concentrate even if there isn't outside noise
May be placebo

I am a classical musician and a big fan of it myself and I'm telling you that it is a cope. Don't listen to any sort of music during studying.

The reason is because your brain is in a 'monk mode' during high cognitive functioning and heavy tasks that require memory and intelligence, especially as a student. There countless articles and videos about this.

I personally have an issue of singing the melody and going along with it, away from the task I am supposed to do during studying. Even if the melody and rythm is catchy, or the music is at low volume, my head is diverged and rather than fully directing my attention towards the content, it all goes to the music.

Music is more like a low, yet continuous source of dope and serotonin imo.
For full productivity during studying, concentrate and cut off the music. Dedicate time later on during the day if you want to listen to music. Listening to music while studying is a Normie cope.

Hope this helps.

I also try not to listen to my songs on repeat for too long. Once I get tired of hearing a song, it takes up to a week of not listening to it to regain dopamine from listening to it jfl

I've been using headphones pretty much all day long since highshool and it damaged my hearing (at least I think it did). And yeah, I also thought about the dopamine thing. Sometimes I take a music-free week, god knows if it really helps but well...
