Why do people insist that the preference for lighter skin is due to social conditioning ?
like I keep hearing black people in particular say that the reason most people have a preference for lighter skin is because we've been
conditioned since childhood to prefer light/whiter skin.Then they bring up the doll test experiment to show how children prefer the lighter dolls

Like for me personally I've always had a preference for lighter skin women,but no one "conditioned" me into desiring lighter skin women
I just personally find them more attractive
