Back in high school a lot of guys would mock dark skinnedcels, calling them names like coalskin, Blackie, crow and laughing at them. They never said anything to me directly probably because I was much taller and more intimidating than most of them so they always avoided me and targeted shorter or average height dark-skinned boys they could push around easily. I often had to sit through these moments watching them bully people like me. . Every time I had this strong urge to stand up and defend the person maybe even beat the crap out of those bullies. I knew I could have brutalized them but I held back thinking it wasnβt my business since they hadnβt come at me personally. Looking back, that mindset feels weak and cucked. I shouldβve stood up for them.
