is it just me or in america everyone is passive aggressive?

especially in formal places, people seem to hate their job and want to make that very clear to their customers,

so they sit there and say nice words as they’re prompted to but their voice is passive aggressive, they raise their eyebrows and nod as they’re tryna make you feel stupid about whatever you say

i talked to few peers i know irl about this and they agreed, i’m curious if anyone here noticed
