and i pretty much only seen this in america tbh

85% of people i’ve interacted with are passive aggressive no matter the age or gender or race or anything

it’s like they’re tryna make fun of you or bring inferiority out of you, it’s like they see you less

and i see it’s not specifically towards me they all talk to eachother like that and it seems to work fine but they’re visibly “attacking” eachother without actually attacking eachother

talking to the average american person is like automatically setting yourself up for a mind game of whos more dominant, why? is it like this anywhere else?

i grew up in america pretty much and i’m still not used to the way they talk

i genuinely don’t think it’s just cultural, i think they’re genuinely passive aggressive

tell me about it, how is it?
People seem like they are just trying to test you in order to see if you will kind of submit to them, like trying to push your boundaries. If you yield you become a joke, if you stand your ground it turns into an argument. I’m not really one to take shit from others so I don’t allow people to just walk over me and that seems to be pissing them off. In my country there are some people, or groups of people to be exact that just insult you on the street to provoke you, this happens pretty often too, they think they are cool or shit like that. There is a lot of stuff I could tell you about but my vocabulary is pretty limited because english is clearly not my main language so…

Well, what I can tell you is that some people act friendly and nice but I can just tell it’s an act, backhanded compliments, subtle jabs at your flaws in the form of jokes trying to loosen you bit by bit. It may as well just be me overreacting due to my ego but that’s how I feel about it too. People are just really competitive and want to get an edge over others so bad in today’s times. Their undertone sometimes just hints at them thinking they are superior to you. This happens often among teenagers and early adults. I haven’t seen people older than 25 behaving like this yet.
