Almost immediately after applying the sunscreen I feel like my skin is burning.

It doesn't really bother me, I can tolerate physical pain very well.

I'm just wondering whether this is normal.

pain goes away after about 30 seconds, maybe even less
Maybe you have some allergies or sum shit idk, it shouldn't burn at all

Retin-a burns me as well

I don't think I have allergies, when I started using it there was no burning, only happened after using it for about a week

it didn't burn at the start, only started about a week in, maybe it will go away after some time
If i were you i wouldn't risk tbh, try to change sunscreen, maybe taking one without a lot of chemicals in it

Alcohol can provide this effect and dry you skin too

Your skin may be dehydrated. Maybe slow down on the tretinoin and slowly build back up.

You probably have sensitive skin which has been exacerbated by the Retin-A. You probably should of built up your tolerance to Retin-A first.

There is nothing without a lot of chemicals in it.

don't have it on hand right now, I believe this is the one I use
Amazon product ASIN B07NXRZJKV
That sunscreen contains a fair amount of alcohol (pretty much all sunscreens will to some extent but its a matter of concentration) in order to make it feel not greasy. That's likely what is stinging your face.

Yes alcohol could be the problem

No. Everything is a chemical. If it has mass, its a chemical.
And before anyone says it: there is no such thing as an all natural sunscreen.

You maybe allergic to certain sunscreens, do you have the same reaction with zinc

If it was an allergy it wouldn't calm down 30 seconds after application.
I'm allergic to a few UV filters and it doesn't calm down like that.

so you don't apply the retin-a during all the night alone ?
I mean why do you moisturize right after ?

Your moisture barrier is destroyed from overusing tretinoin, take a few days off and when you resume don't use it every day.

I used it everyday since then and it stopped burning by itself
