i used to talk to myself all the time when i was a teen. and now that im 21 im still doing it but in english (as my native language is spanish) and the symptom is that i developed the skill without any class or course .also i noticed that it's a form of stimulating my brain while im bored or doing some boring easy shit

I used to have some crazy insomnia in middle school and I would stare into the ceiling talking to myself for an hour before actually falling asleep

I talk to myself for a maximum of like 15 minutes it starts to get boring after that

I do it a lot more if im doing something jfl

ie when im studying I move all my furniture and shit to a corner and pull out this 5x5 meter whiteboard paper thingie I have

just talk out loud and write shit on it helps me memorize stuff MUCH easier
