is it possible to be allergic to a drug after 6 months of taking it?

I took a propecia pill 3 days ago and thought it got stuck in throat, went for X-ray: nothing in throat but feels like it. Possible allergic reaction im thinking? is it possible though since ive been taking propecia for 6 months straight without a problem
