From what I know, and from looking into this a couple of years ago, I only ever found possible associations to early life or prenatal factors. And even those links are rather unclear still. Of course, you could suspect political involvement, which may limit access to such studies.
Still, from what I have read, there appears to be no concrete evidence for that, and being homosexual does not seem to inherently harm health, or rather most correlated negative health outcomes are more so linked to social stigma and general discrimination, not due to the condition itself, which is arguably necessary to define something as a disease.
It may be uncommon, but that doesn’t make it unnatural.
Almost anything, trait or condition could theoretically be described as a natural variation, so the whole idea or concept of something being against nature/ unnatural is hard to define. It’s a vague, arbitrary label with no clear defined line.

It also adds a direct negative connotation and gives people an excuse to justify homophobia.

Most Normies blindly follow and have no mind of their own. They just believe what they want and refuse to do their own independent research, because ultimately, reality is not what matters to them.
Even if we classify it as disease, probably 99% of homosexuals don’t bother anyone. The people who make it a problem are usually just overly emotional, low-IQ individuals using it as a way to vent their own self-hate and frustration. This forum is literally a prime example of that.
