Is it possible to properly mew while cheek biting?

I normally slightly cheek bite and mew at the same time, my tongue is still in the correct position (on the roof of my mouth) but my bottom/upper teeth arent together obviously due to the cheek biting. Will this have negative affects to mewing or can it still work when cheek biting?

The tongue has to be on the palate and engage both the temporalis and back throat muscles, just pushing it forward would cause an open bite I think
